My work has been rather sporadic over the past four years – I have been concentrating on writing my books. This is just a selection of what I have been dabbling with.

This is a new range of work based on a simple drawing of pebbles.
The work incorporates applique, reverse applique and print.
All of the pieces are hand stitched.

Dry Stone Walls

I am surrounded by dry stone at my home in County Clare. They stride across the ancient landscape, marking out fields and lanes.

The Clare walls are more silvery in colour than other counties. We all have different coloured lichen on the stones.

I use a variety of layering processes that include painted fusible web and painted newspaper which is then stitched.
